Opening bank accounts

Generally, a Swiss bank account to establish a company in Switzerland is needed in order to pay in the capital deposit.

Blocked account or capital deposit/payment account (“Kapitaleinzahlungskonto”):

  • open a blocked account and pay in required minimum capital for founding a company with a Swiss bank.

Contribution in kind:

In Zug, companies can be registered without opening a Swiss bank account. The required minimum capital may be paid as contribution in kind (not considered “cash”) either in Bitcoin or Ether (can also inquire with Zug Commercial Register Office as to its acceptance of other cryptocurrencies).

Company / business account:

Upon entry in the commercial register, bank converts the blocked account into the company’s account.

ICO / STO payment account

An account to accept funds during an ICO with the ability of converting cryptocurrency into fiat money and vice versa.
